Therapy can become the place where anxiety no longer makes every decision for you, your inner critic isn't running the show, and you feel more confident making decisions without constantly second-guessing yourself

Therapy for Trauma and Anxiety that Helps You Stop Questioning Yourself

You replay conversations long after they've ended. You question whether you were too much, not enough, or somehow got it wrong. Even when someone reassures you, self-doubt always seems to find its way back.

Imagine a text that no longer ruins your afternoon. A difficult interaction that doesn't spiral into self-blame. Trusting yourself enough to decide without polling everyone around you. Looking in the mirror without your reflection determining your worth that day.

Using EMDR, somatic therapy, and parts work, we'll help the stories you've carried about yourself for years begin to lose their grip. Over time, you may notice yourself recovering more quickly after a difficult day, trusting your own judgment more than your self-critical part, and spending less energy trying to prove that you're enough.

You learned these patterns for a reason. You can learn something different.

  • You rarely feel fully present because your mind is always scanning for what could go wrong

  • You can’t tell the difference between intuition and fear anymore

  • Even in healthy relationships, part of you is still waiting for rejection, criticism, or abandonment

  • You’ve spent so long responding to everyone else’s needs that you may have lost touch with what you truly want

  • Someone's tone changes, and you immediately wonder what you did wrong.

  • Your self-worth changes depending on how you're doing—at work, in relationships, or even in your own body

These patterns often grow from old beliefs about yourself that no longer have to define you. Together, we'll help your mind and body learn that conflict doesn't have to mean rejection, mistakes don't define your worth, and you don't have to keep proving you're enough.

Meet Your NYC Anxiety Therapist

A woman with blonde hair smiling while sitting on a beige couch, wearing a black top and blue jeans, with decorative pillows behind her.

Hello, I'm Olivia Korn, LCSW, and I believe therapy should help you feel different, not just understand yourself better.

Some of my clients come to therapy after years of reading the books, listening to the podcasts, and trying to understand why they feel the way they do. Others arrive simply knowing they can't keep living this way, exhausted by overthinking, self-doubt, and the feeling that no matter how hard they try, they never quite feel like enough. Whether you've spent years searching for answers or this is your first time asking these questions, therapy can meet you where you are.

Therapy with me is slower, more attuned, and less about saying the "right" thing. You don't have to arrive with perfect insight or know exactly what to talk about. We'll pay attention to what happens when your inner critic shows up, when your body braces for rejection, or when an old pattern quietly takes over. Those moments become opportunities for something new. Instead of spending the rest of the day convinced you've done something wrong, you begin recovering more quickly. Instead of immediately believing your inner critic, you start questioning it. Instead of assuming conflict means rejection, you learn that relationships can stay intact even when things feel uncomfortable.

I integrate EMDR, somatic therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), but the heart of my work is helping you build a different relationship with yourself, one where your worth no longer depends on getting everything right.

Whether you're new to therapy or looking for a deeper, more experiential approach, my hope is that our work becomes a place where you don't have to perform, have all the answers, or prove that you're enough.
