Frequently Asked Questions

  • I specialize in working with women navigating anxiety, trauma, attachment wounds, and disordered eating. Many of my clients are high-functioning and self-aware but feel internally overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, or disconnected from their bodies.

My practice focuses on trauma therapy, anxiety therapy for women, EMDR, and somatic therapy for clients in NYC and throughout New York State.

  • Yes. My practice is fully virtual, and I provide therapy for clients in NYC and throughout New York State.

Virtual therapy allows for flexibility while maintaining depth and connection. Many clients find that working from their own space enhances comfort and nervous system regulation.

  • Somatic therapy is a body-based approach to healing anxiety and trauma. Rather than focusing only on thoughts, somatic therapy works directly with the nervous system — where trauma and chronic anxiety are often stored.

In somatic therapy, we may gently track body sensations, regulate breath, or explore how emotions show up physically. This helps your body update old survival responses and build a stronger sense of internal safety.

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a research-supported trauma treatment that helps the brain reprocess distressing memories.

While traditional talk therapy focuses on insight and cognitive understanding, EMDR works directly with memory networks and the nervous system. As an EMDR therapist in NYC, I use this modality to support trauma recovery, attachment wounds, and negative core beliefs.

EMDR often helps clients experience shifts that feel deeper and more embodied than insight alone.

  • Yes. I provide therapy for disordered eating and body image concerns using a trauma-informed and attachment-based lens.

Many disordered eating patterns are connected to trauma, shame, or early relational experiences. Our work focuses on building nervous system regulation and self-worth, rather than control or punishment.

  • Integrative trauma therapy may be a good fit if:

    • You’ve tried traditional talk therapy but still feel stuck

    • You want a body-based approach

    • You are interested in EMDR or IFS

    • You want therapy that addresses root causes, not just coping strategies

I offer consultations to explore whether this approach feels aligned with your needs.

  • My fee is $275 per session. I work with clients who are seeking depth-oriented, integrative therapy and are ready to engage in sustained, meaningful work.

  • I am an out-of-network provider meaning I do not accept insurance directly. However, I provide a superbill to clients who have out-of-network insurance coverage to secure reimbursement. I encourage you to contact your insurance company directly to assess the cost before beginning treatment. Here are some questions to ask them:

    • Does my plan offer any out-of-network benefits for mental health?

    • Do I have a deductible? If yes, how much of it has already been met?

    • Are there any limitations on the number of sessions my plan covers for mental health?

    • How much will I be reimbursed per visit when I see an out-of-network mental health provider?

    • Do I need prior approval or a referral in order to receive reimbursement for out-of-network mental health care?
